Join us for a day and a half day zazenkai commemorating the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha. There will be a special ceremony conducted on Sunday where the Baby Buddha will be bathed with sweet hydrangea tea.
Suggested donation of $10, but any amount you are able to give is deeply appreciated. The retreat will be at the zendo in Albuquerque and will be hybrid (in-person and online). All are welcome to come and go as needed.
To make sure enough food is prepared, please let Rev. Shindo know if you plan to attend in person at shindovillanueva@gmail.com.

This video is from Bright Way Zen and is very helpful in either learning oryoki practice at home or for brushing up for retreats.
Note there are some small differences between our lineage's oryoki practice and those in the video, but these are very minor. Following along with the sangha as we practice oryoki will clarify any of these differences.
